My daughter thought it would be nice to take snacks on her play date with some friends. I remember seeing these cute butterfly bags for snacks somewhere (everywhere 😉 on the internet – I suggested to Savannah that we make them for her play date and of course being the craft lover that she is, she loved the idea. I loved that it was an easy, inexpensive craft that is super cute. Plus, it was some good mommy-daughter bonding time.
Necessary Supplies: Clothespins, glue, chenille stems, snack baggies. Extras ~ markers, wiggly eyes, pom poms, glitter glue, or whatever embellishments you want to dress them up.
I think we will make more of these up to have ready for future play dates. Especially because the glue needs time to set.
Savannah chose to fill the bags with candy corn and white cheddar Cheez-It’s. You could fill the bags with grapes, crackers, blueberries, strawberries, chex mix, nuts, candy, pretzels, cheese, cereal, marshmallows. carrots, celery, well you get the idea 😉
The butterfly snack bags were a huge hit with the girls.
**For a cute winter time snack you could use cotton balls on the clothespins to make little snowmen.**
Happy Crafting to you!
