Cranberry Sauce Crisp

on November 27, 2012

How wonderful does this look? Mmmm

Warm Cranberry Sauce Crisp. Yum!

A delicious, quick and easy dessert  is a crisp (any kind! Apple, Peach, Cherry, etc) and that is just what I decided to do with some leftover homemade cranberry sauce.

After looking at Pinterest for some ideas this is the recipe I adjusted to our taste:

CRANBERRY SAUCE CRISP  (the next time it was  APPLE & CRANBERRY SAUCE  CRISP…see below 😉

1 Stick of Butter (softened)
3/4 C. Flour
1 C. Quick cooking Oats
1 C. Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Seasoning
1 1/2 C. Cranberry Sauce (I used leftover homemade cranberry sauce)

Preheat oven to 375

Dry Ingredients & Butter

Cranberry sauce over the crust

Mix until crumbly all the dry ingredients with the softened butter.
Press half of mixture into a 9×9 lightly greased pan to form a crust.
Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust.
Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Serve with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream

Cranberry Sauce Crisp hot out of the oven 😀

Because this crisp was such a hit, and I still had some of the leftover cranberry sauce I made it again to take to a friend’s house for dessert after dinner, except this time I added a layer of Apple Pie Filling …..  it turned out very well!

You almost feel like you’re eating a healthy, good-for-you dessert… fruit & oats are healthy right?! 😉

What is your favorite crisp recipe??

Happy Cranberry Sauce Crisp Making to you!
