Teacher Appreciation Week Days 3 and 4

I’m combining Days 3 & 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week. To see what we did for the first 2 days click here for Day 1 and here for Day 2.

Day 3: Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

My sister made these yummy chocolate covered pretzels dipped in different delicious toppings, and I added these cute little tags that I found at Michaels.

For Day #4, which was a Friday we did a BBQ Themed Lunch for all the teachers. For the lunch we set everything up in the school’s library so we would have more room.

I used them as centerpieces on the tables because they were just so darn cute!

Jenna also made the incredible Smoked Pulled Pork and the homemade sauces. Talk about YUM!

We gave every teacher a cute little care package that included a toothbrush (donated by a local dentist), lip balm, hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works, Tissues and some gum.

This looks great! Teacher Appreciation week is my responsibility at our school. Just out of curiosity, did you have a set budget for this event. How much of it was donated and how much was paid for by the PTA. How big is the staff and how did you solicit your volunteers? Our school requires it to be a “staff” appreciation celebration and there are 63 staff members. My budget is $600 and so far I am the only volunteer.

    • Thank you! One year we were given a budget but it wasn’t very much. Last year the principal used what she would have allotted for us and decided to do her own thing for the teachers. A few of us parents took it upon ourselves (with her permission) to do our own thing for that week. We did get donations from the parents. However, one other mom and I paid a lot out of our own pocket. I want to say the first year we were only given $300? I can’t remember exactly. I want to say it’s around 38 teachers. You could set something up through Sign Up Genius to request volunteers and donations. What did you have in mind to do for them?
